1--14 oz can sweetened condensed milk**
(**not evaporated milk)
1--32 oz pkg powdered sugar
1/2 t peppermint extract
Assorted colored granulated or crystal sugar
In medium mixing bowl, beat sweetened condensed
milk and half of powdered sugar until blended.
Gradually add remaining powdered sugar and
peppermint extract, beating until stiff. Shape
mixture into 1/2-inch balls; roll in desired
sugar and place on lightly greased cooling rack.
Let stand 8 hours. Store covered at
room temperature.
Makes 2 1/2 lbs

For gift giving decoupage a papier-mache box
with graphics. Package candy in box. Embellish
box with ribbon and a sprig of holly.
