~ Brown Sugar Fudge ~
3 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup cream
2 T butter
1/4 t salt
1 1/2 t vanilla
1 1/2 cups walnuts or pecans
Mix sugar, cream, and salt in a large saucepan and heat,
stirring constantly, until boiling. Cover and cook for
about three minutes so the steam can wash down the sugar
crystals on the sides of the pan. Uncover and cook until
the soft-ball stage, 234F. Remove from heat and stir in
butter. Let cool until the penuche is 110°. Beat until
smooth and creamy, then add vanilla and nuts. Pour into
a well-buttered 8x8 inch pan, and let cool.

Use wrapping paper to decoupage a plate. Add fudge
and wrap filled plate with Saran Wrap. Add ribbon
and gift tag. Decoupage plate is for decorative use
only. Wipe clean with damp cloth.
