3 egg whites
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 t cream of tartar
1/8 t peppermint extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 325F.
In a medium bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks.
Slowly beat in sugar, a little at a time. Add cream
of tartar and peppermint extract. Beat until stiff
peaks form. Next fold in chocolate chips and pecans.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Turn off oven and place baking sheet inside for two
hours with the oven door closed. If the kisses are
not dry after two hours, reheat oven at 325F and
dry for 30 minutes with OVEN OFF and door closed.
