~ Sweetheart Scones ~
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 t baking powder
1/4 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, frozen
1 egg
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped strawberries
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
sugar, for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 400F.
Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder,
baking soda and salt in a mixing bowl.
Grate butter into flour mixture. Beat
in egg and sour cream until just combined.
Stir in strawberries and chocolate chips.
Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface
and knead gently. Pat dough into a circle
about 3/4" thick and cut as desired;
sprinkle with sugar. Place scones on
an ungreased (or parchment lined) baking
sheet. Bake 12 - 15 minutes until scones
are golden.

Use wrapping paper to decoupage a plate. Add
scones and wrap filled plate with Saran Wrap.
Add ribbon and gift tag. Decoupage plate is
for decorative use only. Wipe clean
with damp cloth.
