~ Snow Berry Cookies ~
3/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar
1 t vanilla
1 egg
2 T milk
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup chopped cherries
1/2 cup chopped coconut
1/2 t baking soda
Preheat oven to 375F.
Cream shortening, sugar and egg until
light and fluffy. Stir in the rest of
the ingredients. Drop on greased pan
and bake for 10 - 12 minutes.

For gift giving package cookies in a decorative
cellophane bag. Place bag of cookies in a napkin
lined wire basket. Add several different coffees,
coffee mugs, and napkins to basket. Embellish
basket with ribbon, ornament, and gift tag.
