~ Oat Granola Bars ~
2 cups oatmeal, any type
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 t salt
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 t vanilla
2/3 cup chopped nuts or raisins
Preheat oven to 350F.
Cut the margarine into the oatmeal, brown sugar,
flour and salt until it becomes crumbly. Add
the vanilla and nuts/raisins. Press the mixture
into a 9x13 pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake
for 20 - 25 minutes. Do not over bake. Cool for
10 minutes and cut into squares.

Give as a gift in a white gift box embellished with
designs sponge painted on lid. Embellish with Christmas
ribbon. Add gift tag.
