~ Molasses Crinkle Cookies ~
2 cups flour
1 1/2 t ground ginger
1 t ground cinnamon
1/4 t ground cloves
3/4 t baking soda
1/2 t Salt
3/4 cup plus 3 T sugar
1/2 cup light molasses
2 T vegetable oil
2 large eggs whites
Preheat oven to 350F.
Spray cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
Mix flour, spices, baking soda and salt. In a
medium size bowl, whisk 3/4 cup of the sugar,
the molasses, oil, and egg whites until blended.
Stir in flour mixture. Put remaining 3 tablespoons
sugar in a small bowl. Roll tablespoonfuls of
dough in 1 inch balls. Roll balls in sugar. Place
2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheet. Bake 12
minutes, until cracked on top and firm to touch.
Remove to a wire rack to cool.

For gift giving, package cookies in a cellophane bag.
Place cellophane bag in sponge painted gift box. Use
homespun fabric or Christmas ribbon for the bow.
Add gift tag.
