~ Luscious Coconut Cookies ~
1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 t baking powder
1/4 t cinnamon
1/8 t nutmeg
1/8 t salt
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
2 cups coconut
1--10 oz pkg semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven at 375F.
Mix flour with baking powder, spices, and salt.
Beat butter until light and fluffy. Gradually
beat in sugar. Mix in egg and vanilla. Stir in
the flour mixture until well blended. Stir in
the coconut and the chips. Drop from teaspoonfuls
onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes
or until golden brown around the edges.

Tie with Christmas ribbon and small ornament. Add
gift tag. Can also be added to a gift basket.
