~ Jell-O Fruity Spritz Cookies ~
4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups butter or margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
1--3 oz box Jell-O Gelatin, any flavor
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
additional Jell-O Gelatin for sprinkling over cookies before baking
Preheat oven to 400F.
Sift flour with baking powder. Cream butter
or margarine. Gradually add sugar and gelatin,
creaming well after each addition. Add egg
and vanilla extract; beat well. Gradually add
flour mixture, mixing after each addition until
smooth. Force dough through cookie press onto
ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with gelatin.
Decorate as desired. Bake for 13 - 14 minutes,
or until golden brown at edges. Store in
loosely covered container.
Makes 60 cookies

Use wrapping paper to decoupage a plate.
Add cookies and wrap filled plate with
Saran Wrap. Add ribbon and gift tag.
Decoupage plate is for decorative use only.
Wipe clean with damp cloth.
