~ Fudge Filled Bars ~
1--14 oz can sweetened condensed milk**
(**not evaporated milk)
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 T butter or margarine
2 t vanilla extract
2--18 oz rolls refrigerated cookie dough, choose from oatmeal
chocolate chip, chocolate chip or sugar cookie dough
Preheat oven to 350F.
In a heave medium sized saucepan, combine the
sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips and
butter, cook over low heat until chocolate is
melted, stirring often. Remove from heat: stir
in vanilla. Cool for 15 minutes. Using floured
hands, press 1 1/2 of the rolls of cookie dough
into a 15x10 inch baking pan. Pour cooled
chocolate mixture evenly over dough in pan.
Crumble remaining dough over chocolate mixture.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut. Store
loosely covered at room temperature.
Makes 4 dozen bars

For gift giving, package cookies in a cellophane bag.
Place cellophane bag in sponge painted gift box.
Use homespun fabric or Christmas ribbon for the bow.
Add gift tag.
