~ Devastating Brownie Cookies ~
4 oz unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 t vanilla
2 cups flour
2 t baking powder
3/4 t salt
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans
powdered sugar
Melt the chocolate in a bowl sitting in a basin of hot water.
Blend the oil and sugar into the melted chocolate. Add the
eggs one at a time, beating after each addition until the
mixture is smooth. Then add the vanilla. Sift the flour with
the baking powder and salt. Stir the dry ingredients into
the chocolate mixture. Add the nuts. Important--chill the
dough for two hours. When the dough is thoroughly chilled,
preheat the oven to 350F. Then roll the dough into little
balls (smaller than a fifty cent piece), with hands and roll
each ball lightly in powder sugar and place it on the cookie
sheet. Grease the cookie sheets. Bake the cookies 10 - 12
minutes. Cool. Between batches place cookie dough back
in refrigerator.
Makes 4 dozen cookies

with cellophane. Embellish pan with ribbon.
