~ Cream Cheese Cookies ~
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1--8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/4 t vanilla
1 pkg (regular size) yellow or Devils Food cake mix
Preheat oven to 375F.
Cream butter and cheese. Blend in egg a vanilla.
Add cake mix (dry), 1/3 at a time mixing well
after each addition. Cover; chill 30 minutes or
more. Drop by scant teaspoonful onto ungreased
baking sheet. Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until light
brown. Cool slightly before removing from
baking sheet.

Give as a gift in a shaker box embellished with
Christmas graphics and ribbon. Great as a gift
alone or as an addition to any gift basket.
