~ Cereal Peanut Bars ~
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup brown sugar
dash of salt
1 cup peanut butter
1 t vanilla
2 cups crisp rice cereal
1 cup corn flakes, slightly crushed
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Combine syrup, sugar and salt in a large saucepan
(like a Dutch oven); bring to a full boil. Stir in
peanut butter. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla,
cereals and chocolate chips. Mix well. Press into a
greased 9 inch square pan. Chill for 1 hour. Cut
into small bars or squares.
Makes 2 dozen bars

For gift giving package cookies in cellophane bag.
Place bag into decorative paper bag lined with
tissue paper. Add gift tag.
