~ Apple Butter Bars ~
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
2 1/2 cups uncooked quick cooking oats
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 cups apple butter
Preheat oven to 350F.
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; stir
in butter. Press half of mixture into a greased
13x9 inch pan; top with apple butter. Sprinkle
with remaining crumb mixture, and press gently
with back of a spoon. Bake for 55 minutes or
until lightly browned. Cool and cut into bars.
Makes 3 dozen bars

For gift giving package cookies in decorative
cellophane bag. Tie with Christmas curly ribbon.
Place in gift basket with fabric napkins. Embellish
basket with Christmas greenery and ribbon.
Add gift tag.
