~ Andes Chocolate Chunk Cookies ~
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 t vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
2 cups Andes Baking Chips
Preheat oven to 375F.
Beat butter, sugars, egg and vanilla in a large mixing
bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light
and fluffy. Mix in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir
in Andes Baking Chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls,
2 inches apart, onto ungreased (or parchment paper
lined) cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until
golden brown. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheets.
Makes 5 - 6 dozen cookies

For gift giving package cookies in a ziplock bag.
Place bag of cookies in a flannel gift bag. To
make flannel gift bag, use a 10 1/2 x 25 inch piece
of flannel fabric. Matching right sides and short
edges, fold fabric in half. Using 1/4 inch seam
allowance, sew sides of bag together. Turn bag right
side out. Fringe top edge of bag. Gather top of bag
together and secure with ribbon or raffia and add
a cookie cutter. Add gift tag.
