~ Holiday Gift Cake ~
1--8 oz cream cheese
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1--8 oz jar chopped Maraschino cherries, well-drained
1 1/2 t vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 325F.
Grease a Bundt pan. Blend cream cheese, butter, sugar and
vanilla extract. Add eggs one at a time, beating well
after each addition. Gradually add 2 cups of flour, sifted
with baking powder Combine remaining flour with cherries
and 1/2 cup nuts; fold into batter. Sprinkle prepared Bundt
pan with 1/2 cup nuts. Pour batter into pan. Bake for
1 hour 20 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from pan.
Cool completely. Add glaze to cake.
~Glaze~
1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
2 T milk
Mix ingredients together.

ceramic paint. Let dry. Place cake on plate.
