~ Hershey's Disappearing Cake ~
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
1 t vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup Hershey's Cocoa
3/4 t baking powder
3/4 t baking soda
1/8 t salt
1 3/4 cups milk
Preheat oven to 350F.
Grease and flour 13x9x2 inch baking pan. In large
bowl, beat butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla
until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir
together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda
and salt; add alternately with milk to butter
mixture, blending well. Pour batter into prepared
pan. Bake 35 - 40 minutes or until wooden pick
inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan
on wire rack. Frost as desired.
Makes 12 - 15 servings

For gift giving bake cake in a decorative disposable
aluminum covered pan. Leave baked cake in pan.
Embellish pan with ribbon. Add recipe card.
