~ Gift of Magic Bread ~
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
2 cups flour
1 t baking soda
pinch of salt
1 cup mashed bananas
1 cup mandarin orange sections
1--6 oz pkg chocolate chips
1 cup shredded coconut
2/3 cup sliced almonds or walnuts
Preheat oven to 350F.
Cream butter with sugar, add eggs and vanilla.
Beat until fluffy. Sift flour with baking soda
and salt. Add alternately with mashed bananas.
Stir in oranges, chocolate chips, coconut and
1/2 cup nuts. Pour into 2 greased small loaf pans.
Sprinkle remaining nuts on top. Bake 1 - 1 1/4
hours. When cool sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Makes 2 loaves

For gift giving set each loaf on top of small
bread board. Wrap in Saran Wrap. Embellish with
a homespun fabric bow and gift tag.
