~ Eggnog Cherry Nut Bread ~
2 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 T baking powder
1 t salt
1 beaten egg
1 1/4 cups eggnog
1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup Maraschino cherries, chopped
Preheat oven to 350F.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Set aside. In another bowl, mix egg, eggnog
and oil. Stir into dry ingredients. Fold in
nuts and cherries. Pour into 2 greased 8x4x2
inch loaf pans (or 5 mini loaf pans). Bake for
45 - 50 minutes (30-35 minutes for mini pans).
Makes 2 large or 5 mini loaves

For gift giving wrap loaves in Saran Wrap.
Place wrapped loaves in a gift basket that
is fabric lined. Add a package of coffee
beans and a pair of coffee mugs. Tie with
a raffia bow. Add gift card.
