~ Creamed Corn & Cheddar Cornbread ~
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1 T baking powder
1/2 t salt
3/4 cup milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup creamed corn
1 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
2 T butter
Preheat oven to 425F.
Place a large cast iron skillet in the oven. Preheat
oven and skillet at same time. Mix together all
ingredients (except the butter). Add the butter
to the hot pan until just melted. Pour the mixture
into the hot pan. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes until
lightly browned. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Serves 4-6

For gift giving wrap cornbread in Saran Wrap. Place
in gift box. Embellish box with Christmas ribbon
and small ornament. Add gift tag. Can also be added
to a gift basket.
