~ Chocolate Bread ~
3 oz unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup milk
2 t vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350F.
Grease and flour 2 loaf pans. Melt the chocolate and
butter together in a small pan over low heat; set aside
to cool. Mix the dry ingredients (except sugar) together.
Place the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat
until blended. Add the mixed dry ingredients and chocolate
mixture and beat until smooth. Pour into pans and bake
for 45 minutes or test done. Let cool in pans for 5 minutes
and then remove from pans and cool completely.
Makes 2 loaves

gift basket with fabric napkins. Embellish basket
with Christmas greenery and ribbon. Add gift tag.
