~ Apple Nut Bread ~
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 t cinnamon
1 t salt
1 t baking soda
2 cups fresh apples, peeled and cubed
3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
Shaved walnuts for top
~Glaze~
1/2 to 1 cup powdered sugar
2-3 T orange or lemon juice
Preheat oven to 350F.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Pour into
greased two loaf pans. Bake for 50 minutes to
1 hour. Before removing from oven, drizzle
combined glaze ingredients over loaf.
Makes 2 loaves

Use wrapping paper to decoupage a plate. Add
loaf and wrap filled plate with Saran Wrap.
Add ribbon and gift tag. Decoupaged plate is
for decorative use only. Wipe clean with
damp cloth.
