~ Apple Eggnog Bread ~
1/2 cup of margarine
1 1/4 cup of sugar
2 eggs
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 t of baking soda
1/2 t of mace
1/2 cup of eggnog
1 big apple, peeled and grated
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350F.
Grease two 8 x 4 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pans.
Cream margarine, sugar, and eggs. Add flour,
baking soda, and mace alternately with eggnog.
Beat for 2 minutes with an electric beater at
moderate speed. Stir in grated apple and walnuts.
Blend well and pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake for 40 - 50 minutes or until done.
*Keeps well when refrigerated for a few days.
Makes 2 loaves

For gift giving bake in a disposable pan.
Leave bread in pan. Wrap with Saran Wrap
and top with ribbon. Add gift tag.
