Sand Castle Brownie
~ Mix in a Jar ~
1/3 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup flaked coconut
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1 1/2 cups flour
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Sand Castle Brownies ~
1 jar brownie mix
2 eggs
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350F
In a bowl, combine eggs, oil, vanilla and
contents of jar; mix well. Spread into a
greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake for
30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted
near the center comes out clean
Cool on a wire rack
Makes 2 dozen
