Raisin Crunch Cookie
~ Mix in a Jar ~
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1 3/4 cups flaked coconut
1 cup cornflakes cereal, crumbled
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
**It will be a tight fit**
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Raisin Crunch Cookies ~
1 jar cookie mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350F
Empty contents of the jar into a large
mixing bowl and use your hands to
thoroughly blend. Stir in the butter,
egg and vanilla. Mix until completely
blended. You may need to use your
hands. Roll dough into walnut sized
balls and place them 2 inches apart
onto greased cookie sheets
Bake for 8-10 minutes
Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for
5 minutes before removing to wire racks
to cool completely
