Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip
~ Cookie Mix in a Jar ~
3/4 cup chopped salted peanuts
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup semi/sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip Cookies ~
1 jar cookie mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350F
Empty cookie mix into a large mixing bowl
and stir to combine. Add butter or margarine,
peanut butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix until
completely blended. Shape dough into balls
and place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased
cookie sheet. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until
edges are slightly brown. Cool 5 minutes on
cookie sheet and remove to wire rack to
cool completely
Makes 3 dozen cookies
