~ Pasta Soup Mix in a Jar ~
1/2 cup macaroni
1/4 cup dried lentils
1/4 cup dried, chopped mushrooms
~Spice mixture~
1/4 cup dried, chopped mushrooms
2 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tbsp onion flakes
1 tbsp chicken soup base
1 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp oregano
1 dash garlic powder
Layer in wide-mouth 1-pint canning jar in order listed BELOW**
**Spice mixture, macaroni, lentils, mushrooms
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Pasta Soup ~
1 jar soup mix
3 cups water
Combine contents of jar with water in
2 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil, then
reduce heat. Cover and simmer for
40 minutes or until lentils are tender,
stirring occasionally
Makes 4 servings
