Oatmeal Cinnamon Chip Cookie
~ Mix in a Jar ~
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup raisins
1 1/4 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup cinnamon chips *OR* semi-sweet chocolate chips
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Oatmeal Cinnamon Chip Cookies ~
1 jar cookie mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
Heat oven to 350F
Spoon contents of jar into large bowl; break
up any lumps with wooden spoon. Add
butter, egg and vanilla extract; beat with
spoon until well blended. (batter will be stiff)
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased
cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until
lightly browned. Cool 1 minute; remove from
cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely
Makes about 3 dozen cookies
