Give jars by themselves or use as the perfect addition to any gift basket
Great idea for the holidays or any special occasion
~ Mocha Brownie Mix in a Jar ~
3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chopped pecans 1 cup sugar
1 tbsp instant coffee
1 cup chocolate chips
4--1oz squares unsweetened chocolate
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar
Pour flour and salt for first layer. Add chopped pecans followed by sugar
Pour in instant coffee and put wax paper on top. Add chocolate chips and
unwrapped chocolate squares
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Mocha Brownies ~
1 jar brownie mix
1/2 cup butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 325F
Unwrap chocolate squares and put in small
saucepan. Add butter and melt over low heat,
stirring constantly. Remove from heat and set
aside. In separate bowl beat eggs and vanilla,
then pour a little at a time into dry ingredients
and mix well. Prepare 9 x 9-inch baking pan with
non-stick cooking spray. Pour batter into pan and
bake for 35-40 minutes
Cool and cut into squares
