A fun and easy way to package great gifts for giving
Give jars by themselves or use as the perfect addition to any gift basket
Great idea for the holidays or any special occasion
~ M&M Cookie Mix in a Jar ~
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup M&M candies
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ M&M Cookies ~
1 jar cookie mix
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 375F
In a large bowl, cream butter, eggs and
vanilla. Add cookie mix and stir until
mixture is well-blended. Drop by rounded
tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet
Bake for 10-12 minutes
Transfer to wire racks to cool
Makes 3-4 dozen cookies
