~ Ginger Spice Muffin Mix in a Jar ~
1 3/4 cups flour
2 tbsp sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp salt
Combine ingredients and place in 1-pint canning jar
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Ginger Spice Muffins ~
1 jar muffin mix
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup milk
Preheat the oven to 400F
Grease 12 muffin tins. In a large bowl, combine
the muffin mix with the butter, egg, vanilla and
milk. Stir the mixture until the ingredients are
blended. Do not overmix. The batter will be lumpy
Fill muffin tins 2/3 full, and bake for 15 minutes
Makes 1 dozen
