A fun and easy way to package great gifts for giving
Give jars by themselves or use as the perfect addition to any gift basket
Great idea for the holidays or any special occasion
~ Friendship Brownie Mix in a Jar ~
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup vanilla chips
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
2/3 cup white sugar
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Friendship Brownies ~
1 jar brownie mix
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 350F
Combine contents of jar with eggs, vanilla,
and vegetable oil. Pour into a greased 9x13-inch
baking pan. Bake for 35 minutes
