~ Dotted Cookie Mix in a Jar ~
1 cup Hershey's Kissable Candies
1/2 cup Mounds Sweetened Coconut Flakes
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Dotted Cookies ~
1 jar cookie mix
1 cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Preheat oven to 350F
Spoon contents of jar into large bowl;
break up any lumps with spoon, stirring
until mixture is crumbly. Add butter, cut
into pieces, and vanilla; stir with wooden
spoon until crumbly mixture forms. Add eggs;
stir until smooth, very stiff dough forms
Drop by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cookie
sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly
browned. Cool slightly; remove from cookie
sheet to wire rack. Cool completely
Makes approx 4 dozen cookies
