Give jars by themselves or use as the perfect addition to any gift basket
Great idea for the holidays or any special occasion
~ Decadent Brownie Mix in a Jar ~
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1--10oz pkg semisweet chocolate chunks**
(**or chopped up hersheys bar)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Decadent Brownies ~
1 jar brownie mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350F
Lightly grease 13 x 9 inch baking pan
Beat butter in large bowl until smooth
Beat in eggs and vanilla until blended
Add brownie mix to butter mixture; stir
until well blended. Batter will be THICK,
like cookie dough. Spread batter evenly in
prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until
golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack
Makes 2 dozen brownies
