~ Banana Bread Mix in a Jar ~
1/2 cup nuts
1/2 cup dried bananas finely chopped
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cup bisquick
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Banana Bread ~
1 jar bread mix
1 1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup softened butter or margarine
Preheat the oven to 350F
In a large bowl, place the bread mix
Make a well in the center. Mix milk, vanilla,
eggs, butter or margarine into dry mixture
Mix until completely blended. Spoon the batter
into a large loaf pan that is well greased with
waxed paper in the bottom. Bake for 1 hour or
until knife inserted in the center comes out clean
Cool in the pan on a wire rack before removing
