Chocolate Chip Brownie
~ Mix in a Jar ~
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Chocolate Chip Brownies ~
1 jar brownie mix
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350F
Empty the jar contents into a large bowl
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well
Spoon the batter into a sprayed or greased 8-inch
square pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a
toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Cool and cut into squares
