~ Chili Seasoning Mix in a Jar ~
1/2 cup chili powder
1/4 cup dried minced onions
2 tbsp dried minced garlic
2 tbsp ground cumin
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp sweet pepper flakes
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tsp dried oregano leaves
1/2 tsp ground red pepper (cayenne)
1/8 tsp ground cloves
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients; stir until well blended
Put 1/4 cup seasoning mix into a snack size ziplock bag
Makes 4-5 packets
Attach gift tag trimmed with ribbon/homespun fabric bow and
the recipe card to baggie with the following instructions

~ Chili ~
1 packet chili seasoning mix
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 cup water
1 large and 1 regular size can crushed tomatoes
1 can light red kidney beans
1 can dark red kidney beans
2 carrots, sliced
2 celery stalks, sliced
In a Dutch oven, brown beef; drain
Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes or
until ready to serve
