A fun and easy way to package great gifts for giving

~ Chili Seasoning Mix in a Jar ~
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup dried onion (flakes or minced)
2/3 cup chili powder
3 tbsp beef bouillon powder or salt
1 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp pepper
2 tsp sugar
Mix all ingredients, stirring to combine
Place combined ingredients in wide-mouth 1-pint canning jar
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Chili ~
1 jar chili seasoning mix**
(**only 1/3 jar will be used for recipe)
1 lb of ground beef
1--14oz can of baked beans
1--5oz can undrained kidney beans
1--14oz can of baked beans
onion
Brown ground beef, drain excess fat
Chop and add onion. Sprinkle 1/3 jar
of chili seasoning mix over beef, and
stir well. Add tomatoes, kidney beans,
and baked beans. Simmer or reheat in
the microwave for 20 minutes until flavors
are mixed and chili is hot
Serve with corn bread, if desired
