Tangy Lemonade Bar
~ Cookie Mix in a Jar ~
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup dried cranberries
1 tbsp grated lemon peel
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Tangy Lemonade Bars ~
1 jar cookie mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup thawed frozen lemonade concentrate
1 egg
Preheat oven to 375F
Lightly grease 13 x 9 - inch baking pan
Beat butter in large bowl until smooth
Beat in lemonade concentrate and egg
until blended. (Mixture may appear curdled)
Add cookie mix to butter mixture; stir until
well blended. Press dough evenly in prepared
pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden
Cool completely in pan on wire rack
Cut into bars
Makes 2 1/2 dozen bars
