Butterfinger Cookie
~ Mix in a Jar ~
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp powdered vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Butterfinger Cookies ~
1 jar cookie mix
1 cup unsalted butter
1 large egg
1 cup Butterfinger bar, broken into pieces
Preheat oven to 350F
Beat butter until smooth with electric mixer
Add egg, and beat until combined. Add Butterfinger
pieces, contents of the jar, and blend on low
Form cookies into 1 1/2-inch balls and place
2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet
Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden
Remove from oven; let rest 2 minutes
then transfer to a wire rack to cool
Makes 3 dozen cookies
