Beef Stroganoff
~ Mix in a Jar ~
1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp instant dry milk
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 tbsp plus 1 tsp beef bouillon granules
2 tsp dried minced onion
1/4 tsp plus 1/8 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp plus 1/8 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp plus 1/8 tsp pepper
2 tsp dried parsley flakes
1 tsp garlic powder
2 cup egg noodles
Layer in wide-mouth 1-quart canning jar in order listed above
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a wooden spoon to the lid
Attach jar labels to the jar with the following instructions

~ Beef Stroganoff ~
1 jar stroganoff mix
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
4 cup water
1 cup sour cream
In a large skillet, brown ground beef and drain off fat
Add water and the jar of stroganoff mix to skillet and stir
Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for
15 to 20 minutes or until noodles are tender
Top with sour cream and serve immediately
