A fun and easy way to package great gifts for giving
Give jars by themselves or use as the perfect addition to any gift basket

~ Gingerbread Cookie Mix in a Jar ~
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground allspice
Mix 2 cups of the flour with the baking soda and baking powder
Mix the remaining 1 1/2 cups flour with the spices
Layer ingredients in a 1-quart wide-mouth canning jar as follows:
Flour mixture with baking soda and baking powder
Brown sugar and finally the flour and spice mixture
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
Put the lid on the jar and tie a homespun fabric bow around the lid
As an added touch, tie a gingerbread cookie cutter to the lid
Attach the labels below to the jar
